Edible-Grade Marking
Made from raw materials that meet food safety standards, this marking family can be used on directly consumed products and on food-contact surfaces. It is known in the industry as an edible marker and changes neither taste, smell, colour nor texture.
What it solves
For a long time, marking was considered inapplicable to directly consumed products: every component added raised a separate food safety question. Those product groups could therefore only be protected through their packaging.
In the edible-grade layer every component used meets food safety standards. The mark is carried inside the product and leaves taste, smell, colour and texture unchanged, so products whose packaging can be copied also come within the scope of verification.
What it gives you
It brings product groups that could not previously be marked into the scope of verification.
No risk to the consumer
Every component meets food safety standards, remains in trace amounts and goes unnoticed.
The character of the product is kept
Taste, smell, colour and texture stay as they are; the balance of your recipe holds.
The mark belongs to the product itself
Unlike a visual label that is easily reproduced, the mark is carried inside the product.
How it is introduced
In three steps, without rebuilding your existing production flow.
Added to the recipe
The mark joins the recipe or the contact layer at approved ratios.
Checked in production
Its presence and ratio are confirmed at a sampling point on the line.
Documented
The record for each batch is kept alongside your food safety file.
